I was sitting at my writing desk, wrapping up a scene. I caught movement out of the corner of my eye and glanced up. A majestic and beautiful male buck traipsed through my back yard as pretty as you please.
I watched him for almost twenty minutes. He took his time, looking for morsels of edible grass. He confidently strutted in front of my wall of windows and made his way to the edge of the lagoon.
The sight was breathtaking. It also reminded me to slow down and take the time to enjoy the beauty around me. Even when things are hectic, no especially when things are hectic and life has us frazzled, we should look for inspiration and beauty. It's there, we only have to open our eyes and see it.
