What's better than falling in love? Falling in love while running for your life! As an author who loves to weave together intricate plots and passionate romances, I've spent a lot of time thinking about what makes romantic suspense so captivating. It's not just about a hero saving a heroine from a villain. It's about how the danger brings them closer and forces them to face their deepest fears and desires.

I try to blend the perfect amount of heart-pounding action and soul-stirring romance. I love giving my characters a secret or hidden past that adds a layer of tension to the story. Maybe the heroine is running from an abusive ex like Selena in Southern Night. Maybe she was in the wrong place at the wrong time and saw something she shouldn't have like Jessica in the novella A Guardian's Loving Caress which is part of my Enigma, Maine Bundle 2.

I enjoy the journey of hero and heroine falling for each other while they work to neutralize the threat and survive to love another day. They must work together, lean on each other's strengths, and become partners in every sense of the word. Their very lives depend on it!

What are your favorite elements of a good romantic suspense? Let me know in the comments.
