The Heart of Home: Finding Love in the Little Things

AS November winds down, I always find myself drawn to the simple comforts of home. The soft glow of a lamp, the scent of steeping tea, and the quiet purr of a nearby cat. It's in these small, ordinary moments that I often find the spark for my stories.

Home isn't just a place. It's a feeling. It's the warmth of someone waiting for you, the laughter that fills a kitchen, the way love shows up in everyday gestures. In my writing, those moments often become the heart of the story. The time where characters discover that real love isn't grand or perfect, but steady, patient, and true.

As the holiday season approaches, I'm reminded that love doesn't always need big declarations. Sometimes, it'/s found in the shared silence after a long day, or in the comfort of knowing you belong just as you are.

So this eek, I'll be curling up with my husband, cats, and tea, grateful for the little things that make life and love feel like home.

What makes you feel most at home this time of year?
